		<description>A Campaign or a Product?

When Skype asked for a way to make video chatting more commonplace and less of a special occasion activity, I pitched the idea of a product augmentation rather than the standard ad campaign.

The idea is as simple and streamlined as possible. Record a short 30 second micro-clip of yourself about a subject and post it. Much like other social services, you can follow people other users and watch their "Klips." If a user was online at that time, you could request to "Skype Now" and be allowed to video chat one-on-one with random users or even celebrities.

"Klips" would have also been tied directly into the current Skype product increasing exposure and encouraging cross pollination. The end result would have been extended brand interaction and utility making Skype an everyday occurrence with a new social-savvy demographic.

		<description>A campaign strategy I devised for a regional eyewear chain revolved around a central spokesmodel (think T-Mobile girl). We auditioned hundred of models looking for the right balance of trustworthy eye care experience but with a fashionable and chic energy. Introducing her properly to our target audience required an entire new library of fashion photography with top name frames and style to match.

&#60;img src="http://payload117.cargocollective.com/1/7/252209/4647564/site_photo.jpg" width="540" height="360" width_o="540" height_o="360" src_o="http://payload117.cargocollective.com/1/7/252209/4647564/site_photo_o.jpg" data-mid="24745094"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;

And a little peek behind the scenes because I love shoots and seeing someone trying to get the right look and emotion from a model can be rather humorous.

		<description>Sing it! At least that's what we asked Logitech Facebook fans to do for the holidays. Users could enter a contest for Logitech HD gear by recording themselves recording holiday favorites like Jingle Bells or Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and posting to this app. The streamlined experience and limited song list demanded users to come up with attention grabbing antics if they were going to win the most "likes."

		<description>This project for the social media giant became a perfect example of collaboration and the ability to leverage the photographic interest and strength of a junior designer in the creative direction.

The site showed top ten lists in various categories from user posts on Facebook. Rather than just showing infographics or stock photography metaphors, we turned Facebook into a user posting original Instagram photo albums from its own past year. The user could then go in and view their own top posts from the previous year in a timeline fashion.

		<description>After years of working with and directing photographers, I decided to pick up an SLR and take the relevant classes to actually learn how to use it. Unfortunately for my wallet, I was hooked. I'm still learning, exploring and shooting various subject matter to find my artistic voice but in the meantime, shooting first hand is making communication easier with professional photographers and inspiring my own day-to-day art direction and design work.

		<description>The news is depressing. Story after story of what's wrong with the world prompted this concept to change the tone of the news to a more upbeat angle. When the user rolled over a story the energetic little Crocs characters would come out and paste a new headline showing a positive twist from the writers at Mekanism.

		<description>In business and life in general, testimonials are one of the best ways to acquire new customers. For Yammer, an internal business tool very similar to Twitter, we took testimonials and made them dynamic and visual.

Video testimonials from top tier companies could be viewed while user profile pictures from that company's users flashed, loaded, slid and faded in the background in real-time. Essentially, while the user was exploring and learning about companies using Yammer, he or she was also witnessing the pulse of the social media tool being used first hand.
